What is Singing Yin Yoga.?
It's a combination of Yin Yoga and a Sound Bath, but you are actively participating in creating the sounds by chanting through the chakras. Chanting is optional but advised.
What should I wear?
Whatever you wear, please just feel comfortable. There is some movement but it's more restorative than active. Yoga pants, sweat pants, t-shirt, pajamas.
Who should try a class?
Anyone who would like to experience the calm of yin while cleansing stress from their body.
Do you offer Trauma Informed Instruction?
Yes. Lisa create a safe space that you can visit prior to the class. Trust is key and grows through authenticity and communication. Lisa provides guidance not instruction; students are invited to experience each movement and form, and they can choose what feels best to them in each moment.
What if I have experienced Trauma and I'm not sure if it would be a good fit for me?
While anyone who has experienced trauma is welcome to attend, please email Lisa if you'd like to privately discuss and questions or concerns before the class.
Is there any sharing during class or therapy offered?
No. Lisa will guide you through each breath and form, and students may choose to participate in the chakra chants. Singing Yin Yoga classes are meant to release the stress and anxiety that accumulates in your muscles.
